Router and Wired Configurations
Some things to try: - Log into the routers web page at 192.168.0.1. Use IE, Opera or FF to manage the router.
- Turn off ALL QoS or Disable Traffic Shaping (DIR only) GameFuel (DGL only and if ON.) options, Advanced/QoS or Gamefuel.
- Turn off Advanced DNS Services if you have this option under Setup/Internet/Manual or under Setup/PARENTAL CONTROL/Set to>None: Static IP or Obtain Automatically From ISP.
- Enable Use Unicasting (compatibility for some ISP DHCP Servers) under Setup/Internet/Manual.
- Turn on DNS Relay under Setup/Networking. Link>Finding Faster DNS Addresses using Name Bench
- Setup DHCP reserved IP addresses for all devices ON the router. Setup/Networking. This ensures each devices gets its own IP address when turned on and connected, eliminates IP address conflicts and helps in troubleshooting.
- Ensure devices are set to auto obtain an IP address.
- If IPv6 is an option on the router, select Local Connection Only or Disable IPv6 options under Setup/IPv6.
- Set Firewall settings to Endpoint Independent for TCP and UDP under Advanced/Firewall. Enable or Disable SPI to test.
- Enable uPnP and Multi-cast Streaming under Advanced/Networking. Disable uPnP for testing Port Forwarding rules. Enable IPv6 Multi-cast Streaming for routers that have a Media Server option. Disable IPv6 Multi-cast Streaming if IPv6 or Media Server is not being used.
- Turn off WISH, and WPS under Advanced.

- Ensure the default (dlink) SSID name is changed. Can be anything and not something thats already in use by any neighboring WiFi routers. Under Setup/Wireless/Manual.
- What wireless modes are you using?
- 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz routers: Try single mode G or N or mixed G and N on 2.4Ghz and single mode N on 5Ghz?
- Channel Width set for Auto 20/40Mhz or try 20Mhz only.
- Try setting a manual Channel to a open or unused channel. 1, 6 or 11. 11 for single mode N if the channel is clear.
- What security mode are you using? Preferred security is WPA-Personal. WPA2/AES Only. Some WiFi adapters don't support AES, so you might want to try TPIK only or Auto TPIK and AES.
- What wireless devices do you have connected?
- Any cordless house phones?
- If you have any of these options, Try turning OFF or ON Short GI, WLAN Partition, HT 20/40 Co-exhistance and Extra Wireless Protection if you have it. Recommended settings are default. Under Advanced/Advanced Wireless.
I personally haven't had any issues with my router. Only on v1.03 was 5Ghz an issue and that was corrected with v1.04. This is a very good little router and works well for me. Range is very nice on both radios, better on 5Ghz.
If your not satisfied with the product then please return it and find something that works for you.
Hi, thanks for the quick reply

Sorry for the frustration earlier, been too long since I had my nicotine

Hardware version is A1
Firmware version is 1.02, I tried the 1.04 version yesterday and it worked fine except that the signal from the 5 ghz band was very choppy and would not accept connections, the problem seemed to match exactly what other people were describing with 1.03 The photo i posted has the signal graph showing -59 dBi steady whenever the signal was up, but it would stop broadcasting and restart repeatedly.
I am in Cornwall ontario canada, so NA region.
No.... I didn't do the factory reset.. should have I guess
Router worked perfect before upgrade, works perfect after downgrading, except for UPNP that only worked on 1.04
ISP is CIK telecom 20/2 megabit DOCSIS 3 cable
Modem is a Thompson DCM478
Wired:
I have no issues with wired connections.. the only wired connections are DHCP static assigned by MAC
Ipv6 is disabled, isp doesn't support it, so i didn't bother upgrading the local network.
UPNP and multicast ipv4+ipv6 are enabled
This is probably the first router i've used that qos seemed to work actually quite nicely.
Wireless:
Channel modes for both bands are 20/40 auto, 6 clients on 2.4, 1 client on 5.8
WPS is of course disabled
Security is WPA2 AES only
Cordless house phone is 2.4 ghz, all neighbors are 2.4 ghz, and all 6 local clients are on 2.4 ghz and are connecting without any issue whatsoever, on both 1.02 and 1.04, except for my pc that is connecting (right now) at 5.8 without any issue on 1.02. After upgrading to 1.04 i was unable to connect at all at 5.8 and had to connect with my pc at 2.4
I can try upgrading to 1.04 again and doing the hard reset i suppose.. I loaded config.bin after flashing both times, I haven't done a factory reset since I bought it..
