Hi,
Been running a DNS-320 since July 2012, single HDD in left position (WD20EARX 2GB) with no problems. Couldn't connect to the drive on Tuesday, so took a look and the device was receiving no power and wasn't turning on. Cut a long story short, Amazon are sending a replacement. The question I have is, the disk is already formatted for the DNS-320, so should I be able to just drop the drive in without having to format? I don't really want to lose the 1GB+ of data that's on there! And I seem to recall that NAS drives format in EXT2/3 which is unreadable in Windows 7 (without tinkering with ext2fsd or similar) so I can't even backup the content!
Thanks,
Chris.
