Hello D-Link
I own two D-Link DCS 2130 that I bought more than a year and a half ago, from different resellers at different times. They both are hardware version A1.
The wireless network functionality was not working with the default firmware 1.00!
So lacking any official firmware released solving the issue, several months ago I decided to update from the 1.00 to the beta firmwares I found on different Dlink FTP/WWW websites
At first I tried DCS-2130_V1.01.03_test1 found on DLink IT FTP
http://ftp.dlink.it/Products/DCS/DCS-2130/firmware/The wireless connectivity on this firmware works but it's unstable: connectivity drops frequently and stays disconnected for several hours until it's reconnected again.
This happens several days a month, so if I intented this camera for security purposes, it's useless.
So I took my risks and updated to the newest beta firmware released I found on Dlink RU FTP
http://ftp.dlink.ru/pub/Multimedia/DCS-2130/Firmware/beta/DCS-2130_V1.11.01.bin 24-Sep-2012 13:09 also called "1.11wireless"
This one has additions like COS, IPV6, Multicast and several bugfixes.
So it's better and richer than the previous firmwares, but the wireless connection still drops and does not reconnect until a couple of hours are gone by.
Again, no use for serious surveillance.
I want to be clear that I'm a tech guy and a soon to be engineer, I also own a lot of devices including other cameras like a DLink DCS-2230 and two DCS-2121 and several routers. I've been doing a lot of trial and error. I already tried different combinations with all my routers and cameras, of course I tested the cameras close to the routers so it's definitely not a noise/poor signal particular problem I had. Every device I tested worked fine except for these DCS-2130, so I'm pretty sure the problem comes from these DCS-2130 cameras and is firmware related.
I received the same reports from other users too.
It's clear the firmware requires some work.

Please, all I'm asking is if you could check, test, and fix this problem and release an official firmware with this issue addressed.
We're talking about wireless connectivity which is supposed to work out of the box and it's what I paid for.
I'm submitting this forum post to DLink support and I hope to get an answer and a this fix soon.
Thanks
