I changed the 3TB GoFlex drive that has it own power supply with a 1TB
Toshiba portable drive without an external power supply and it seems to work.
I guess the fact that the GoFlex drive has its own ps is a problem and maybe
there is a sleep mode that it goes into.

Anyway thanks for the solution.
I would never had guess that one.
This looks like a good forum with answers.

So is there a way I can mark this topic as solved or should it be locked out?

Thank you,

I guess the 3Tb could be an issue. Usually the problem comes from not having a external power supply with USB drives. Odd that this drive doesn't work well. Might see if you can change the behavior of the drive if it has any features that you an change.

If not, I guess you'll need to keep using the 1Tb.

Good Luck and enjoy.
