OK, this will test my memory.
Here is an album of screen shots - http://smg.photobucket.com/user/acellier/library/FTP%20to%20Mac
As I recall, I first got the camera working normally with the system - not going to repeat that.
Camera was cabled to the router for the following steps.
Go to the camera Network Setup,
set a static IP address within your router's range,
set your router's IP as the gateway
remember to save settings
Go to camera FTP Setup,
Host name is the ip of your Mac
user name and password for the account that you want to catch the images to
set the rest as you wish, remember to save settings
On your Mac, go to System Preferences/Sharing, select "File Sharing"
in "Shared Folders", add the folder that you want to put the images into
make shure the same user has "read & write" permission
select "Options..."
select "Share files and folders using FTP"
click Done
Your Mac is now an FTP server, and will collect the camera images.
Hope I didn't omit anything.
If you want adhoc wireless, then
on your Mac, go to Menu bar/Airport, select "Create Network"
give it a name, set a password (or not)
set camera Wireless Setup to ad-hoc, SSID to the network name just created
