Dir-505 as media server

Dear sir
Did any one try to connect to dir-505 as media server through laptop or pc in the network ? and what software used ?
I tried using Kinsky_4.3.14 . the program can see the files in the usb attached to Dir-505 but nothing is playing ..i can access usb from web browser.

Try the Shareport apps to see if they work?

I tried using shareport plus but it can't detect the dir-505 "not supported"

I have played movies from the 505 - I use a DLNA-capable player. The 505 doesn't share storage using CIFS/SMB.

I have not heard of "Shareport Plus" - what is that?  D-Link provides a "Shareport" app for iOS and Android, but you can use Goodplayer or similar instead. VLC on a PC or Mac will do it too.
