Windows will not relinquish control

I cannot get a reliable connection using my DWA-652. I have installed the 1.50 driver, but the connection continuously restarts.

I am trying to uncheck the box that says
Quote
"Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings"
but I always get the message
Quote
"At least one of your changes was not applied successfully to the wireless configuration"

I have tried the following solutions from Microsoft, to no avail:

Any ideas?
