(1) Using a web browser on a PC in your LAN, log into the web UI of your router
(2) Go to the table listing all connected devices and find the IP address of the DNS-320
(3) Open a new browser tab/window and enter the DNS-320 IP address that you've looked up in the router table
(4) If you've reset your DNS-320 to the factory default settings then enter: username = admin; password = [Blank - leave empty]

Thanks for the reply,

i held the reset button in for over 10 seconds, and Lost the connection, now it won't show up in the list of attached devices in the router.

Is there anything else I can do?

Try rebooting the router and see if the IP address comes up.

No i still can't see the ip, I can get the name of it on the mac in finder - shared: (dlink-A6A3D1-1)but it won't connect at all, i also tried changing the sockets it connects to in the router.

On windows i can't even see it at all.

You can download the software that came with on the DNS-320 DVD here: http://tsd.dlink.com.tw/
Enter "DNS-320" using the search menus and select the software for the appropriate region where you purchased your unit. (e.g. NA = North America; ww = worldwide; DE = Denmark, etc.)

Let's try one more thing.  Power down the DNS-320, remove the power cord from the rear, wait 30 seconds and try rebooting.

the progress bar hangs on the tenth number of the ip address, and never loads the last part.

Since you reset the DNS-320, the username = admin and leave the password field blank.
