Hi Joe Public and thanks for this useful link!

I'm wondering if the sources for these can be gotten and/or a build environment. I'd love to see how they're done, there's a couple of things I'd like to make my system do for me.

Anyone have any ideas if any such thing is available?

The new firmware has problems with network connections, or small blocks, because I have installed version 1.03 billing application that accesses 3 computers and goes well but when actualziar to version 1.04 gives error 3026, which are Connection errors to the database.

Did a small test.

Rolleback to 1.03... tried to format in RAID1.
It worked...But only detected 1TB total drive instead of 4TB.
But was able to set the remaining space to JBOD.

Then updated to 1.04b05... RAID volume was no longer working.
Only JBOD volume...

Reformated trying RAID1... No success... still set as STANDARD so I get Volume_1 & Volume_2
If there's no data stored on the DNS-325, you may want to try mounting the HDDs in a Windows PC to remove all the partitions and try again.

I have exactly the same problem for my 3tb WD red harddrive.  Finally I figure it out what is my problem.  Google Chrome! Dns-325 interface does not full support chrome.  I tried use IE 11 and everything is working normally. Good luck!

In general, the ShareCenter series favors the IE family of browsers, followed by Firefox. Other browsers (including Firefox to some degree) are known to have issues with some web UI functions.

If you are talking about converting the latest beta version to an official release, then no news. Quite often the beta version is simply renamed "release" with the same version number after USA QA testing (presuming there are no additional changes).

1 month after upgrading to 1.04b5 one of my drives disapeared.(ST2000DM001-9YN1). I thought it was dead and was about to order a new one. But today I could not get into the web user interface of  my DNS-325 - I then hard resetted the device - still only one drive there - I then downgraded the firmware to version 1.03 and voila - the drive was back fully operational.

When it comes to storage of critical data, you need to ask yourself whether the new firmware contains a critical feature or fix that's not available on your current firmware (i.e. if it's not broken, then don't fix it).

You can read about member experience with the latest firmware here: DNS-325 - Firmware v1.04b05 - Comments & Observations

NEW firmware 1.05b1
« Reply #71 on: March 26, 2014, 05:16:31 AM »

If somebody is interrested, you may try new 1.05b01 firmware at your own risk. I don't know the changes. I can only say that if works form my NAS DNS 325 rev. A1. But there is still the same bug with the fan spin up :-(

While we appreciate your contribution, this forum supports firmware distributed specifically labeled for U.S. or Worldwide use. Posting firmware from other regions can cause confusion among the member community and result in accidental installation of unsupported firmware resulting in potential issues that can otherwise be avoided.
