WOOHOO.  Vendor HACKware!  I've been looking for a reason to pull my DNS-323 out of retirement.

Cheers!

Does this f/w fixes the problem where you end up formatting your drive 1 after installing a new drive 2?  I can't really tell from the change log...  I don't want to get burned twice!

I particularly like...

Add the Ability to control the devices LED status of On or Off. Some users are complaining about the brightness of the BLUE LED when the device is placed in their home.

Change fan speed design, Shut off fan at desired temp (ability to check always on low, Add always on ).

I'm just wondering, which led they referring to? The square one, or even the activity lights?

whoosh, now this is a firmware...  ;D

6. Re-added EXT3 Support.

does this mean that when i update the firmware, the 323 will offer to format the drives ??

i think that the point of a new firmware should be the 100% guarantee that it does not format drives
or at least specify from the start (new firmware will reformat your drives)

thanks d-link, thanks for the support of .iso files in upnp AV streaming
i`ve been waiting for this for a long time...

now waiting fo the final release of 1.08 firmware :D

Does this new firmware address the 1.06 issue of the HDD not spinning down when not used/accessed?

I have read and reread the list and somehow, I missed that part

HAH.  Found a usefull feature not mentioned in the release notes!  Passwords can now have special characters!   Or was that added in an earlier release?

Cheers!

Very nice changelog, I am already very satisfied with my 323 and i cannot wait for these features to make an already good product better.

Hopefully  USB support for nfts disks and an httpd is in the works.  Im guessing apkg modulization will pave the way for this.

Im very stoked for a final whatever features make or dont make the cut

Big thanks to the devs for some hard work, its worth the wait for a stable product.

Would there be any chance to include package such as nzbget for usenet downloads?

Scan disk doesn't work here...
If i chose to scan Volume_1, it happens nothing. Then i go to Status and the RAID-Informations are gone.
Only neu start fixes this.

Greetings
