Is the MAC adddress the same as on the xbox?
Are the xboxes wired or wireless? Preferred is wired LAN...
I think so.  It's the only device that is a wired connection, so when the log entry doesn't state wireless, that should be the Xbox.

Ok, can you turn OFF The desktop and then try xbox?

Seems like the desktop is doing something via wireless. What kind of wireless adapter is in the desktop? I'm wondering now if the Desktop is suspect...

I sure can.  The desktop has a Rosewill N900PCE dual band PCIe card (802.11a/b/g/n, 450mbps x2) for wireless connectivity.  I'll try the xbox without the desktop on in a little bit.

About 15ft, through one interior wall.  I know 5GHz works better line-of-sight, but it was working great with no problems whatsoever for a month with the exact same physical setup.

I don't know if the laptop is having issues, as I haven't used it at home since the FW update.  I'll break it out tonight and see how it works as well.

I will also switch the desktop over to the 2.4GHz band, and see if it's acting up on that also.

Worked just fine without the PCs on.  Of course, the X360 is working fine now that the desktop is on also.

The 5GHz band is displaying very disappointing performance, but the Xbox is working.  I dunno...

I see...seem like maybe there is an issue with your PC and or LT being online at the same time with the xbox.

You might check these two devices and sure any wireless drivers are up to date.
Also check each PC for any extraneous programs or malware that may be running or causing network traffic issues. If the xbox runs well with out these online, there could be problems else where on the PCs.

Well, I'm not sure what's going on.  Worked with the desktop on last night.  Worked with the desktop on this morning.  Now, it disconnects me from XBL in the middle of a show.

All drivers are up to date.  Nothing else trying to access the internet except this browser at the moment.  It was also having problems while the computer was booting before I signed into my account.

OK.  Now, even with the PC off, the Xbox still disconnects after a few minutes.  Last night it disconnected every 3-5 minutes while watching a show, but once we bypassed the router and connected directly to the modem, it worked great.

So... I'm thinking it's got to be the router.

Ok, I would recommend that you take it back to the place of purchase and if thats not an option, please phone contact D-Link support and get this one into RMA. THey'll send you a new one.

Well, I bought it on Amazon.com, so I'll be calling D-Link support tomorrow.  I can't afford to be without a router since I do all my finances online.

On the phone w/ tech support now.  This person doesn't seem to be able to think outside the script (I've worked tech support jobs before, so I know how it works).  She insists on walking me through another FW update, then "observing the connection for at least 48hrs."  I guess a month of issues and almost a week of FW updates doesn't count for anything.  Only after a long drawn out process does she finally admit that there isn't a level 2 technician available.   >:( >:( >:(

So far, D-link's TS isn't getting very high marks...
