I'm still in the process of fiddling with my two new cameras: DCS 2132L and DCS 7010L.
I have set them up to continuously record to an Apple Time Capsule and to record video to their respective SD cards when motion is detected. I also have them set up to record the log file to the Time Capsule every hour (I figured this was the best way to work out which of the hundreds of videos I should look at if an event happens). When I review the SD cards, via mydlink, I have noticed that there is a (brief) recording every minute, even during the middle of the night when the house is still. Reviewing these I can see no suggestion of any motion in the clips! Have I got the sensitivity too high? The 2132 (in the house) is at the default of 85% and I have turned the 7010 (garage) down to 75%.
To be honest, I am on the verge of turning off the SD card recording but have left it for now as it sounded like the easiest way to view footage of anything that happens in the house whilst I am away. Accessing the SD card via mydlink should be easier than remotely accessing my Time Capsule and then trawling through all those videos.
