Reformatting for use in computer
« on: May 18, 2009, 03:26:17 PM »

How do I go about reformatting a drive I had in the 323 so it will be recognized if I want to install it in my computer?  I don't really use the 323 very much so I want to put my large drive in my computer and use it there.  I realize that I will lose all my data but right now my computer doesn't see the drive or assign it a letter.  I am using Windows 7.

Not certain about Windows 7 but with most versions of Windows after W2K - open the disk management snap-in, find the disk, delete the partitions, create a new one and then format.

RAID1 is for disk redundancy - NOT data backup - don't confuse the two.
