Help - Completel baffled with new DCS 2130
« on: September 27, 2013, 07:39:02 AM »

Setting up my new 2130 camera has turned out to be more difficult than I ever believed.

All im trying to achieve is prob pretty standard and is
1. Live video viewable on line
2.  Detection of motion creates a video record on the SD card and network drive for 20 sec or so.
I haven't been able to achieve either of these. Are they actually possible?

What I have managed is achieve after 2 weeks frustration are:-
1. Live video on my home network
2. Continuous recording to the DCS SD card and my Network drive.

Trying to set my a Network drive as a server says Test error but a manual recording appears on both the SD and Network drives!
After setting up motion detection the live video announces "REC" OK when it detects motion but no sign of any recordings anywhere. Am I missing something.
Event logs can be viewed on the SD Card
Cant get remote access to the DCS via my Virgin Media Home hub at all.

Pretty poor really. Nice camera but very disappointed with poor software and instructions.

Thanks in advance
Kev
