Well thats the problem, your local areas seems to have some congestion of WiFi, especially on 2.4Ghz, getting to another router, AC even, may not resolve this. AC mode only works on 5Ghz, not 2.4Ghz. You'd still have to upgrade to 5Ghz on those devices to use AC mode.

Maybe someone can review your router settings with you using Link> teamviewer if your interested. Its safe and secure.

I will give Teamviewer a shot, but will contacting my service provider about the 2.4ghz congestion do anything for me? maybe they could resolve the congestion issues?

No they can't do anything...you have other people around you with other WiFi routers that are competing for channels on 2.4Ghz. This is the reason we recommend switching to 5Ghz for those devices that you could convert over by using a 5Ghz bridge...

It would look something like this:
ISP modem>DIR-815 router> Wireless 5Ghz <DAP bridge<>Wired LAN connections to the back of the DAP

So I gave this some thought, and I can't really just buy a media bridge for a couple devices and leave the rest out, is there ANYTHING I can do?

I recommend getting the 5Ghz bridge and connecting as many devices to that.

For the 2.4Ghz frequency, try this:
  • Try setting Medium or Low power output settings and test again Under Advanced/Advanced Wireless.
