Internet Service Provider and Modem Configurations
What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL? Cable since my ISP is Comcast
What ISP Modem Mfr. and model # do you have? DSL-2890L and DSL-520B, both
are modem router though. I know it is for "DSL" but I did set it up as Dynamic connection
What ISP Modem service link speeds UP and Down do you have? Down: 105mbps and
Up: 50
Check ISP MTU requirements, Cable is usually 1500, DSL is around 1492 down to 1472. Call the ISP and ask. Link>Checking MTU Values By default, since this is a cable connection, it is by
default 1500
For DSL/PPPoE connections on the router, ensure that "Always ON" option is enabled.
Router and Wired Configurations
Already solved the problem here
Wireless Configurations
Links>Wireless Installation Considerations and Managing Signal Congestion
Ensure the default (dlink) SSID name is changed. Can be anything and not something thats already in use by any neighboring WiFi routers. Under Setup/Wireless/Manual. SSIDs are different, for both 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz through my network and neighbor's network
What wireless modes are you using? Router mode only
2.4Ghz and 5Ghz routers: Try single mode G or N or mixed G and N on 2.4Ghz and single mode N on 5Ghz?
Channel Width set for Auto 20/40Mhz or try 20Mhz only.Already done this, so far no changes
Try setting a manual Channel to a open or unused channel. 1, 6 or 11. 11 for single mode N if the channel is clear. All of the preferred channels are all occuppied so I used channel 7 which is
the only available and unused wireless channel
What security mode are you using? Preferred security is WPA-Personal. WPA2/AES Only. Some WiFi adapters don't support AES, so you might want to try TPIK only or Auto TPIK and AES. Locked it up to WPA2 only while encryption is AES only
What wireless devices do you have connected? Too many to indicate in here, but can tell you that I do have 20 (Which is 10% of my devices in my home) are connected to it, although I did try to isolate all of the devices to the router (1 on 1) wherein the issue still persist, same as 20 of my devices connected to it
Any cordless house phones? Nope, I had a landline connection through mobile phone
Any other WiFi routers in the area? Link> Use InSSIDer to find out. How many? Channel 7 is the only unused from the routers outside my internal network
If you have any of these options, Try turning OFF or ON Short GI, WLAN Partition, HT 20/40 Co-exhistance and Extra Wireless Protection if you have it. Recommended settings are default. Under Advanced/Advanced Wireless. Already done this as well which did not help as well
So far, only my transmission power rate is the only thing I haven't setup. I wanted
to make an observation for this. So the response might be tomorrow or the day after tomorrow
