The firmware is in a zip archive which you need to extract before uploading. If the file has no .zip extension, then add one and extract the contents.

The file I downloaded is named "DCS-5020L_FW".  There is no ".ZIP" or dot anything else.

Sometimes Firefox downloads files without the extension.  Add ".zip" to the end of the file name.  This option assumes you do not have file extensions hidden on Windows.

OK.  It unzipped and now says it is upgrading.  It says it might take up to 140 seconds but has gone over 500 seconds.

Open a new browser tab and enter the DCS-5020L IP address and see if the login prompt comes up.

It seems to be working OK and at the upper right of the screen it says "Firmware version 1.02" so I assume it worked.  Thanks.
