I am looking for Linux support net is very slow windows don't cut it for me as it performs sluggish and is slowly dying since SteamOs is releasing in 2014 you would think Dlink would support Linux I am extremely upset buying a router I never new that never supported Linux any one running Linux and if so any tips?

You should phone contact D-Link support and ask them if this router supports Linux. I presume on a network level, it does however if your looking for specific applications with in Linux, it may not. You should review all the information and contact D-Link support and ask questions before buying.

Well I did ask but got no reply so go Figure, so I bought it thinking it would run Linux.

Actually, SB is a Qualcomm product, you may need to contact them to see if they are supporting it for linux.

Why not get you into a DIR series router, the 850 is a twin to the 5500 or the 865 or 868 are great routers, don't have any specific requirements...Linux should work well.

I just bought this and will not buy another lol 165 and spending more wow.

The 850L is only about $100 or less...

so that means i will have spent over 300 including taxes on Dlink stuff all cause Dlink has pore communication skills wow i like dlink don't get me wrong but communication is KEY.

Communication? 

I think all the communication and information is on the web about there products. Phone sales and support is waiting for your call. Its up to users and perspective customers to review and read the information and questions on what product maybe best suited for them. It's not up to D-Link to presume what users need. That's why there are many models available with different features so that there product would make a good fit for what users really need. It's up to you to make that determination of what you need. You got to communicate, review and research before you buy. Same thing goes for cars and many other products we use.

It helps to review, research and ask questions before buy to help avoid situations like this.

well when companies dont respond then yea thats an issues also no one talks about Linux not being supported so go figure I watched plenty of reviews on this and people said it was good but not one person in there reveiw said linux is not supported.

Did you use the phone or email. I recommend always using phone for immediate help and information. I always take reviews with a grain of salt. If you didn't see anyone mention Linux in there review, that's a good indication that there may not be many users with Linux using this router or nobody using the router with Linux that could give any recommendations. That's when phone sales and support is needed.
