DNS320L local backups doesn't work
« on: January 03, 2014, 09:21:20 AM »

Hi

Recently i 've purchased a DNS320L NAS and replace my old backup linux box with RSYNC.

I had configured a few Internal Backups in order to copy some directories from Volume_1 to Volume_2.

Today i have checked the results of backups and discovered that nothing was copied on any backup.

I have tried to start the backup manually clicking on green arrow on Start/Stop column, but no messages appears, the clock icon meaning "-- Waiting." is on all backups, it doesnt care about time and date configured, backups never start.

I have replaced a very old PC that never fails on any backup for years for a new and modern system that has failed on every backup i tried, so i would like to know if someone can explain how to make a backup without using an external PC to use Samba, rsync or whatever before come back to my old linux box.

Thank you

Best regards
