Hello all !
I'm having a problem that is almost costing my job:
I have a DNS-320L as a backup storage and I've been using it perfectly for 1 year. What I do:
1 - I store backup there until the 2x 3TB disks gets full (I'm using RAID mirrored.. so all I have for space is 3TB).
2 - when it gets full I remove the 2 disks, and store it in a safe place. Then I insert the two new 3TB disks and start saving the backups there.
Everything was OK (i have already 6 pairs of 3TB disks stored... filled with data).. ultill the last 2 disks i bought:
I installed them, turned the storage on .. and saw the two disks there. OK, it was all fine.. then i rebooted it.. and when it got up again, the device says "No disks attached" in the web interface.. and in the log i can see the message: "Volume_1 Crashed
First.. i thought it was a hard drive problem. I took them back to where i bought it and got them replaced.
Installed them while IN THE STORE .. so I could be sure that the disks were fine: Great ! the decide recognized them !
Turned it of.. and came back to my office.
For my surprise..when I turned the device on again, I saw the same problem: no disks attached and the Volume_1 Crashed MSG.
I have ANOTHER DNS-320L (a backup one) ... so I trayed this two disks there: Same error. It seams to be something related to the disks because all my DNS-320L can read the older disks.
But... the model of ALL disks are the very same (3Tb Seagate Barracuda with the very same model. All of them !)
And.. if I insert any of this disks in a machine with windows.. the disks works fine !
Can anyone PLEASE share a light with me .. and help me keep my job ?
Thanks a LOT !
