i am using a fw1.05 my DLink655. So far so it seen ok. Connection was okie able to connect.
still feel kind of abit buggy. only thing i know of is that there no Logoff function.
My take is to wait till fw1.06 stay at 1.04. Upgrade to 1.05 if you keep having some issue with your router. Other than that. try to wait for fw1.06
Thanks. I will wait until I read that
most people enjoy using 1.06 before I upgrade, 1.04 seems to work well enough that I am not going to go back to a prior version.
I
was (still) having the troubles that others complaint of (dropped connections, constant re-booting, locked out of router and need to reset the router, etc.). http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=316.0 http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=317.15 etc.
I found that if I left it at factory default for a few hours and then logged into the router and changed one thing at a time that it seems to have
stabilized itself - I still get drops but it reconnects quickly enough, constant re-booting is not occurring, and I am currently not locked out.
After upgrading my
firmware (only) I got a bonus

.
My router page http://192.168.0.1/ now says I have new
hardware and
firmware: Product Page: DIR-655 Firmware Version: 1.04 Hardware Version: A2
Previously my hardware was said to be "A1".
