Will Streamboost work outside the USA?
« on: January 13, 2014, 03:29:07 PM »

Hello, i plan to buy a DGL-5500 on Ebay USA and let it send to Germany. It is questionable whether all functions and Streamboost will work fine in a land oustide the USA?

Kind Regards

Don't worry, I'm using it in The Netherlands and it works without any problems!

Just be aware that any issues with the router that you need help with like RMA or support will not be supported in your region if the router fails.

Good Luck.

Thank you for this information. Hope i do not have a RMA, if so would be more  overhead to send it back.

One more question, have the power supply of the dgl-5500 a  Input Voltage: 100 ~ 240V AC
Input Frequency Range: 50/60 Hz? Or is it only "110V and 50 Hz"?

Ya, that will be problematic as they will not support any RMA thats out side of the NA region should something happen.

I'll have a look at my adapter, I wanna say its' 110v/60hz here since thats all we use here in the NA region.

I would recommend that you review the DIR-868L/865L routers. I have both of these routers and there are great routers for general use and gaming. They do have more features and more flexible than the 5500 is:
