Problems with DNS-321 and X-Box 360
« on: May 29, 2009, 08:04:54 PM »

I have a series of media folders in the Volume_1 folder.  When attempting to view the contents of the movie and TV show folders, I'm having odd issues.  I can only see the first 30 (out of about 120) movie files and I can't see any of the series sub-folders in the TV shows folder.  The file names are rather short still, I've refreshed the server and attempted to move around the UPnP settings to direct to the movie folder directly but still have the same problem.  I can copy the folder hierarchy to a flash drive (although with only a handful of video files) and it works just fine.  What am I missing?

EDIT - Another issue I have is that whenever I try to play a file from the DNS-321, I receive an error that says the file is not supported, but the same files play without issue from my flash drive.  Any assistance is appreciated.

I'm with you man. Certain files won't play for me either even though they are on the supported list and they play fine when streamed from my laptop to the 360. The only thing I can think of is a possible codec issue?

Perhaps the next firmware will help in this issue. There will be some improvements in the UPnP AV media server. Have either of you tried out the beta code?
