Oops fixed the post above.
IR illumination and PIR are two separate things. The cam has a IR illuminator that shines IR light so the cameras lens can see in darkness. This illuminators throw is 16ft. This is because it is only one illuminators and not very strong. It is to the right of the main lens at about 4 o'clock.
The PIR sensor is the big dome directly under the lens and doesn't use the actual lens. I haven't found any specs on the distance it can sense heat signatures
