Network Camera - Java Issues on web UI Live Feed Page
« on: January 18, 2014, 07:48:13 AM »

After updating to the latest Java version 7 Update 51 and applying the fix we posted, I'm seeing an issue I'm hoping some of you can validate/replicate.

After updating Java, my DCS-5020L, DCS-931L, and DCS-932L web UI Live Feed view page works but the Audio On/Off and Zoom buttons don't work. The buttons aren't greyed out, but they don't seem to do anything on IE and Firefox.

Can others validate/replicate this issue?

Hi,

I've just set up a spare out-of-warranty 930L at home to experiment with the firmware (1.07) and in both IE and FF, while the Zoom function still works fine, my Audio On/Off buttons are greyed out and do not work. Seems the Java update has had multiple unintentional consequences. Wonder if there's a statement from D-link soon !

To apply the fix, regarding adding the IP address of the cam to the java safe list, in addition to "http://", the port number is also essential.

E.g. http://192.168.0.8:5050

The FAQ post containing fix was updated with http:// and https:// instructions sometime yesterday.

I had the same problem when I've updated Java. My DCS-930L works fine (zoom and sound are ok) with the java exception.
Our webcam is permanently connected to internet. Our customers are not Geek and we cannot ask them to change java options. Are D-link working on a firmware update ?

Thanks,

Luc

I've got a pair of 932Ls, and the zoom and audio on-off buttons function just fine.
Java v7u51, Firmware 1.07b, Java site exceptions applied for the IPs at both http and https (without the port numbers), logged in as administrator.  Firefox 26.0.

When you say Web UI, I presume you're referring to the page that loads when you access the camera's IP address directly?
