I used a MAC address changer software on my wifi network card, then i connected to the router, then i logged into my router and looked at the DHCP client list, and my Internal ip address was displayed but the MAC address was not showing.
So I changed my MAC address back to the original, then logged into my router and now the DHCP client list was showing my MAC and ip address again.
First question, why doesn't the DHCP client list show my CHANGED MAC address when it shows the original?
Second question, I have turned my router off and on over the past few days, and the Ip address 10.1.1.2 that was assigned to my network card when i was using the changed MAC address is still there, it won't go away and it thinks that ip address is still online when it's not. It correctly shows my current ip which is 10.1.1.3, but i used to have 10.1.1.2 before and now i can't because the DHCP client list won't refresh.
Third question, Can the dlink router detect if a person is using a CHANGED MAC address and is that why it only shows the ip address and not the MAC address?
I have tried all the ipconfig /renew etc but it doesn't make a difference. How do i run ipconfig /renew from the dlink router?
Help.
