From mydlink website, through a PC, can I view few cameras at the same time in a split screen?

If so, please guide me how to do that...

Thanks!

Unfortunately, only the mydlink+ mobile app for tablet devices currently supports this functionality.

Thanks, what about using d-viewcam windows app ?
Can it connect to a remote location (outside my house) and view multiple cameras? (right now I have the 5020l, I'm considering also getting a 5010l because it looks the same device just cheaper, and I don't use the wifi extender feature).

Thanks!

You are correct in that the DCS-5020L and DCS-5020L are pretty much identical except for the wireless extender feature and the color of the camera itself. To use the D-ViewCam mobile app, you must have a PC running 24x7 that's hosting the D-ViewCam application. The D-ViewCam mobile app connects to the D-ViewCam instance. Since D-ViewCam (desktop and mobile device) are at no cost, you can experiment with them to see if the application suits your use case.

Thanks but I don't have 2 cameras right now so I need to know before I order another one from D-Link if I have the option for split screen.

Somebody familiar with this app?
BTW, I don't want to watch through a mobile device, I'm looking for a *REMOTE* split screen option for a Windows PC computer.

Can I setup one D-ViewCam in home, and stream to a different D-ViewCam outside my network?

Thanks!

The D-ViewCam desktop application does have the ability to display multiple cameras on the same view. I recommend that you first install the software and play with it to see if it meets your needs. If you set the camera to display four panes, you'll see your DCS-5020L in one corner and four blank panes where other cameras can be added. You'll also need to experiment with getting the application to work remotely.

You can ask more direct D-ViewCam questions on the D-ViewCam board in this forum: D-ViewCam
