Just finished setting up my DIR-655 and I love the thing
Replaced a "Brand L" router on which the WAN port fried itself after 2 years. Actually glad it did, since it prompted me to get a better router with more features.
Anyway, my question. Looking at the Sharepoint USB option -- very interesting. I obtained a static IP from my ISP so I could run my Panny webcam. What would be REALLY cool would be if I could mount a USB thumb drive on the router and run an FTP server off it, from the router itself (i.e., my PCs do not have to be powered on and running an FTP server).
Yes, would require embedding the FTP server in the router firmware. Major feature enhancement but just wanted to throw it out there.
