Help with Emailing Video
« on: February 28, 2014, 09:07:45 AM »

I am helping my mom setup a 2332L cameras (same setup I have almost). I configured the camera at my house and then installed it at hers. One thing that works fine at my house but not hers is emailing video. For some strange reason it won't email video. If I change it to send pics instead of video it works perfectly so I know it is setup correctly. And again emailing video works fine from my house with her camera. Now the difference between networks are that I have TW Cable (15/1mbps) and she has AT&T DSL (1.5/128kbps). I would have thought that the much slower upload would just take longer to email but do you think it's preventing the video from emailing completely?

There may be a time-out limit I'm guessing on uploads, or the SMTP server at your mother's house (e-mail server) may have a lower limit for maximum size of e-mail. Try limiting the size of the video clips and see if that helps.

I did end up fixing this by getting my Mom faster DSL service. That was the only thing I needed to do.
