Well, I placed the 932L on a different place and the IR light doesn't go far... A solution is to add an external IR light source with more leds, but the problem is that you have to spend more money on something that's already built in. Sinking ship

Up next is by far my favourite lens of the Super Kit family: the Super Fisheye. This is an ultra-wide 235 degree angle lens that puts your photos in a fishbowl. Whereas with the original fisheye lens you’d get massive black corners, the super fisheye fills up the entire screen; the black corners are still there if you position your lens incorrectly, but it gives you a brilliant perspective.

Regarding IR illuminators:
In the example location I showed earlier, I've actually got two cameras - the DCS-932L which watches the whole room, and a Motorola Baby Monitor that watches just the crib.
The Motorola Baby Monitor has IR illuminators that only come on when you're actually "watching" it on the handheld unit, and when it's on it lights up the crib rather well.

Why would you put an extra lens on your DCS-9XX(L) camera:

Advantages:
Wider field of view
Cheap


Disadvantages:
Ugly to look at it
More distortion at the edges
Details of the persons/object is a bit worser

Important:

If you have a DCS-930L (so without IR light), you can buy a lens with a magnetic ring.

If you have a DCS-9xxL with IR light it is important that you remove the magnetic ring. (see: http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=57433.msg228383#msg228383)
There are two ways to do it:

1. Buy a clip on lens, it will cost you a bit more.
or
2. Buy a lens with a magnetic ring and use a very small screwdriver to remove the ring
2.1 If you buy a fisheye lens with magnetic ring, the ring will easily pop out when you put the small screw driver between the glass and the magnetic ring.
2.2 If you buy a wide angle lens with magnetic ring, it's a bit more work to get the ring off.

How to put it on your camera:

If you have the 930L the best way is to use the magnetic ring on it. First, you have to put the separate metal ring (included with the lens) on your camera. This ring can easily be removed without leaving residu. Please notice that you have to use an other metal ring with a sticker on it, since you can only use those rings 1 time. The other solution would be to use sticky tabs to place the metal ring back on your camera.

For the cameras with IR light:

A solution would be to glue it. Please don't use instant glue, since you don't have the time to place it properly on the camera. >> This solution is not recommended in my opinion

or

The best solution, in my opinion, is to use 'Removable Adhesive Putty Tabs' or something other sticky. The reason is that you can easily remove/replace/place the lens on the camera. You can use 2/3 pieces of that putty tabs and put is at the edges of the lens. Then you have to put the lens in front of your camera. Use mydlink app (or other app) to see if you aligned the lens on the right way.

If the lens doesn't stick (after a day) on the camera, please try it again. Please notice that the 'fisheye lens' (9.1 gram) is more than two times the weight of the 'wide angle lens' (4.4 gram). So for the fish eye lens you would probably use more tabs or something with more stick power. There is no experience with the 'super fisheye lens.'

Important information:

Only if you would glue the lens on your camera, it can be a problem for your warranty. If you use 'sticky tabs' you can easily remove them without having visual damage.

Depending on your delivery time, you can the lenses for the following prices:
Wide angle lens: 3 dollar
Fisheye lens: ~4 dollar
Super fish eye lens: ~13 dollar

Search on ebay/amazon/chinese webshops
Please notice that there are some companies who are rebranding these lenses with an top up.

Chinese webshops? They are cheap, most of them have free worldwide delivery. But you have to wait longer before the items is delivered at your home. Please take in account that it can take 2~6 weeks before you receive it. There are also Chinese sellers on Ebay (tick the box:' world wide shipping' and sort from 'low to high with shipping costs'). If possible please use Paypal to buy it, since you have 'Buyer protection.' If the item doesn't arrive after 5 weeks please inform first your seller so he or she can suggest  a proper solution.

Comparing the lenses (please notice that some images are blurry):

Wide angle lens: 4.4 gram
Fisheye lens: 9.1 gram

The best lens, in my opinion, is the wide angle lens, since you don't have that bowl effect.
