HELP, My DNS 323 keeps disconnecting from the network overnight..

HELP, My DNS 323 keeps disconnecting from the network overnight!!

I have to reboot, everymorning.

I have setup the exact same setup at my girlfriends house, and her's is fine...

Does any one know why my DNS323 will do that?? im on firmware 1.07

Do you have two PC's in the house? If so does this happen on both PC's? Do you power the computer on and cant connect or is the PC on all night?

I had a bad DIR-615 wireless router that would interfere with devices on the network (DNS-323, DCM-201, and NSLU2) and lock them up when the wireless radio was turned on. I bought another DIR-615 and now everything runs fine. Not sure if this is similar to your problem ??

Yep I have two PC's

and both of them cannot connect to the DNS 323...

They are connecting thru a wired connection....

I Turn one computer on and off... but I have one computer left one at all times..

any clue??

It seems like the DNS323 is disconnecting from the network every night or so....

I've had similar problems.  What seems to happen is when I reboot one of my pc's, I can't get into the nas.  What I have to do is double click on the drive letter that I had mapped to this device, which it then asks me to input the password for the user account I set up, then it works fine.  Each time I reboot, I have to do this in order to access any of the data on the drive.  It doesn't cache the authentication session for whatever reason.  Maybe that is what is happening with you too?

First, if you have set a static IP, try to ping the NAS and if  you get a response, try to connect a drive letter using the d-link utility.

Have you tried disabling Power Management to see if there is a difference in behavior?
