Recording setup for 930L

I received a D-link 930L Im trying to set it up to where I can record a video and send it to my landlord. I looked around but im actually just getting confused on how to do it. Is there any step by step instructions of how to do it?

Did you download and install the D-ViewCam software on a PC?
