Hi All! New here and new to D-link routers. I've only used Netgear before. I just wanted to get a tip, i see that on the german D-link site there is a new firmware for the DIR-868L. I installed and seems make the router a bit more stable than before. I don't know exactly the difference between rev 107b02 and this rev. but anyway, here's the link:

Link>Welcome!

Thanks for sharing the info and feedback.

This is a regional only FW release so its only recommended to use in the EU regions. All other regions should use there current released version for there region.

I see that this EU version is just the mode current version (v1.07) with the German language pack added. Not sure if anything else has changed.  ::)

Enjoy.  :)

As far as I am concerned, nothing new in this fw :
- pppoe still limited to about 300 mbps on a 1000 mbps line; they have the fix in a fw from 17.09.2013 but they chose not to implement it in the new versions... very "smart"
- ipv6 still broken

Support is very poor, after they received al the data requested (ss, logs) they just ignore all emails or phone calls. Not to mention that at first they dismissed even the possibility of something being wrong with the firmware or the device...

Is Unicast under Setup/Internet enabled or disabled?
I have sent D-Link information regarding IPv6 issues located here:

The router is back in the box now, however, unicast on or off makes no difference.
In the link you provided I see only issues with ipv6 firewall. That I really don't care about, the more important issue is that the router does not give ipv6 to my devices in lan. The router gets an ipv6 from the provider but not a single pc or other device in my lan is able to get ipv6. I have detailed the problem here in another post, and a workaround for it (restart the device with ULA enabled then disable ULA after the router receives ipv6)
Using another router I get native ipv6 with the same settings, the problem is obviously on the d'link side.

I belive I'm getting IPv6 with my 868L v1.07 on my Mac:

This is using Manual IPv6 Settings, ULA and Default ULA Prefix enabled. Internet IPv6 is set for Local Only as I don't have IPv6 native support with my ISP at this time.

The RA is not working, the dhcp pd server is not broadcasting ipv6 for lan devices. This has been the issue from day 1, reported, described in detail, screenshots and logs. There are some ways to get ipv6 in lan, that trick with ULA (but after a router restart has to be done again). The only way to get a proper setup is to configure manually all lan devices, eliminating the need for dhcp pd server. But that is not an option for the masses, it requires some knowledge and time.

I'd ask your regional D-Link support for an RMA, if yours is not working at all, then it needs to be reviewed by D-Link and replaced.

No point in replacing it, this is firmware related. I tested 3 units, all have the same issues.

And this happens on all IPv6 supporting devices?

Do you have a case # by chance?

This will need to be handled by D-Link in your region. I have passed this to my contact here however we are not bound for support since this is not with in our region here. I'm hoping that maybe it will be passed to someone in your region and will have a look at this and check it out. I'll post if I hear any feed back however it's not guaranteed that I will.

I would recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and talk to level 3 or higher support and see if you can talk to someone that can look at the router settings and PC settings. I'd ask them to remote connect to your PC so they can review first hand of the routers configuration and see what is happening.

Yes, it's the same for all.
I think I had 2 or 3 case numbers,  but all my tickets to support got ignored and I think I deleted all emails with the numbers.
The fw is the same for all regions, only the wireless chanels are different. This problem is present in all firmwares, regardless of region. I'm not the only one with this problem :

Here I got the most pertinent description of the issue :
http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=55423.15
The local support started ignoring me after they have received all the stuff they wanted.

I've done all I can here. This will need to be taken up with your regional D-Link support office.

Good Luck.
