Wow...

Yes looking at the specs on the main web site, Rev C1 is supporting of USB 3.0 and backwards compatible with 2.0. So you should be seeing 3.0 connections with Rev C1. And our not.

The 1665 is a new product so I haven't seen it yet.
I would be curious if the DAP has HT co-existence features in it. I don't think it applies to 5ghz however maybe.
It would seem that if the AP and adapter are using 5Ghz and single mode AC, file xfer speeds should be way better then N mode.
I would set the DAP to mixed ALL mode and see if that changes anything.
I have the DWA-180 from last year and it was 3.0 native and have tested it on several D-Link router models and it's way faster than any N adapter I have on AC mode. I generally test using Mixed ALL modes for my configurations.
It would be a good test too to try a different adapter as a test on the LT.
Ensure the LTs USB drivers are up to date.
Do you have a different PC that has USB 3.0 support to test the adapter in by chance?
My thoughts about large file xfer over USB, any USB...I tend not to use this platform, especially with cruicial data or if xfers are being done constantly. Wired LAN is the most safest for data xfers and is still the fastest. USB at any rate will always be a bottle next on performance. I presume if the data and and being time efficient isn't a priority then of course, this can be a workable solution. Overall, if your data and time efficient, I'd go with LAN wired or the very least, Wire LAN cable from the LT to a AC bridge. Avoid the USB bottle neck if possible.
Let us know if any of the suggestions work...If your seeing the adapter connect to other PCs USB 3.0 supporting and it's only showing 2.0, this will need to be handled by D-Link support.
Keep us posted.
