User account is currently in use by somebody else....
« on: June 26, 2014, 05:05:44 AM »

Firstly....Hello everybody.

I have tried to resolve this myself already but to no avail, so now I'm asking for help.

I bought a 320l a few months ago and so far I'm quite happy with it. However the biggest problem I am experiencing so far is the admin account locking out. It has become so frustrating! If I have logged on and left it unattended for a period of time for what ever reason, it times out and I have to login again. However when I do i get..

"This user account is currently in use by somebody else. Please contact the administrator or try to login later."

When this happens it can takes hours before I'm able to login again?

I have even set the timeout to the maximum time to try and avoid this but it still timed out. Is there anyway that I can avoid the the account locking out? I do not want to have to keep reseting my device everytime this happens. Even if I can create another account with full admin privileges? I have fun plug and putty installed so ssh is a available if  I need it.

Thanks in advance

Aaron

From what you say it appears that you are trying to use the admin account as a user account.  If this is so it is not how it is designed to be used, the operating system is not windows that allows that type of insecure stupidity.

You should create a user account and use that for everything other than making the odd administration changes that may be necessary.

Sorry to sound hard but we have had to clean up after too many people that happily log in as admin and then wonder why they get pawned.
