I'm interested in using this as a baby monitor. However, I don't want my phone screen on all night, does the audio work with the app in the background / with the phone screen off? I'd like to be able to hear the baby crying and then be able to turn on my phone to see what's going on. Is that possible?

That may depend on how the iPhone behaves and configured to sleep when not in use.

I went ahead and got one. For my android phone, the audio keeps playing with the screen off, though it gets choppier. For the iPhone, the audio stopped playing with the screen off. I'll have to try out your suggestion FurryNutz. Thanks!
