Auto switching to day mode not working

Hey,

Really enjoying the camera, but it doesn't seem to automatically switch to day mode unless I force it via the settings.  Does anyone else have this issue?  I think it has to do with the light sensor sensitivity as if I shine a flashlight at the camera it will briefly switch to day more and then back to night more as soon as the flashlight is taken away.

The room is well lit, and the camera picture looks fantastic when forced to day mode through the settings.  I am also using firmware 1.3.
