DNS-320 Rev B - Can't Format disk nor update firmware
« on: August 16, 2014, 01:26:14 AM »

I am having severe problems to set up my new DNS 320. I have bought the device and two new hard disks type

2000GB WD AV-GP WD20EURX Intellipower 64MB 3.5" (8.9cm) SATA 6Gb/s

The type form sais hardware version B2 and firmware version 1.0.

When I tried to set up the disk via the web interface as raid 1 it got stuck in step 5 saying initializing 0%. The resource monitor reports 100 per cent CPU load and there was no progress after more than ten hours. I also tried to set up the disk without raid or jbod but that didn't help as well.

Next I tried to update the firmware and downloaded and unzipped it the file for DNS 320 b from the dlink support site. However that didn't work as well. I can select an file from the firmware update menu but when I click on apply nothing happens. The same problem appears with the file I got from this forum.
