I have a network with a /29 assigned to a bridge on a layer 3 switch.
When I connect the switch I have to use a /16 subnet mask for the swithces addressing on a /24 subnet in order for the switch to respond and be accessible on the network.
Anyone have any idea why? I've don't understand the logic and this is the only device I've ever had a problem with.
Other switches being used are DLink (DGS 1210-24), Trendnet, HP and MikroTik. The only switch that has this unique problem is the Dlink DES 1210 28P.
