Do you see the same results if you by pass the 5500 and direct test with the DSL modem?

Hey Furry, yeah both where enabled,  I unhooked the 5500, reset my modem, hooked up only my PC and ran tests and that's the results I got, I bridged my modem and hooked up the 5500, ran tests with basically same results with ABE enabled and disabled,  I get the speeds I subscribe 2, but my ping, jitter and packet loss r bad. I wanted y'all to take a look at my modem stats to see if there is something I can tell my ISP to look at. I also have a westell 7550 that I tried with PC only, with same results

If your seeing same results with and without the router, check all ISP phone lines from pole or box up to the house. Check any junction boxes and make sure the phone likes are correcty wired and filtered. Ask for a dedicated phone line for your modem from the pole or box out side.

Test a different modem if possible or test this current modem at a different location to see if problem follows to rule out the modem.

Thx Furry, how do I check the lines from pole to box. This phone line I use is from the box outside and only has my modem plugged in, as far as I know its not split anywhere. Is that what u mean by dedicated

You'll need to have the phone service tech come out and check the lines. Unless you know of someone with phone line testing equipment.  ::)

Yes...

What would you suggest, out of all the ones I saw on dlink, the one I have offered up to 24 mbps up and up to 3.5 mbps down, and there where only a couple more that did that

Ya most of the D-Link ones don't offer much past 24Mb.

What does your ISP support for modems? Is there a list?

We won't crucify you if you go with a different model modem...What is your ISP speed package you pay for from the ISP?

This one is up to date:

Let me know, if that link doesn't work, I had to enter my area code to get to it

They sent me a zyzel pk5001z, initially, but I didn't like it, so I went with the dlink I have

Ya I don't see D-Link supported on there even though it might work, officially, could be an issue. Stay away from 2wire as some of not most of those modems can't be bridged.

Well, hold off until the ISP checks the quality first. Then ask them for a modem as well. Have them test with one of there modems.
