Hi all,

I have exactly the same problem, and it's annoying. I would like to get direct remote access via those ports to live, playback and control panels of surveillance station.
I open those ports on my router pointing to the NAS IP, and also, open those ports on Network Management > Port Forwarding on my DNS-320L configuration.
NAS is accesible from out my LAN vía DDNS + https

¿Any suggest?
Thanks in advance.

Link>Welcome!

  • What Hardware version is your DNS? Look at the sticker behind or under the device.
  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the DNSs web page under status.
  • What region are you located?

What Mfr and model is the main host router?
What mfr and model is the ISP modem?

Is the DNS getting a Dynamic IP address from the main host router? I recommend using a Static IP address ON the DNS set to 192.168.#.20 or .32

Hi FurryNutz, thanks for reply and your help.

My DNS model is DNS-320L, and its hardware version is A04. Firmware version loaded is 1.08 taken from this forum. I think my region and mfr/model of my router and ISP modem are all irrelevant for the issue, since freeman74 has the same problem...

I can access to the Surveillance-Station  add-on and see my DCS-5222L camera working ok, but only from inside DNS320L user interface. I mean, I have to do the following:
1) access to my DNS-320L via its IP in a browser. (My DNS-320L is setted with a fixed IP)
2) login in my DNS-320L
3) Once logged, go to "Surveillance Station Aplication Add-On"
4) Then, it opens a tab with information about that "Surveillance Station Add-on" and offers a button to "LAUNCH" the aplication...
5) So, I click that "LAUNCH" button, and then opens a new tab in browser with the main interface of the Surveillance Station

As I understand, maybe I'm wrong, the purpose of those 3 ports (Live Video Server Port, Playback Server Port, and Configuration Server Port) offered in Server Port section, inside Setup configuration page of SurveillanceStation, is to offer a way to access directly to each main interface of Surveillance Station: Live Video, Playback, and Config, respectively. So that way, we would be able to get access to the Live Video panel without making the five steps before, and getting it asking only http://192.168.X.Y:<live-video-server-port>....But the problem it is not working. And I have already tried open those ports, both, on my router, and on my DNS-320L configuration...

Related with this issue, I've tried out with "Blog add-on" (actually a wordpress), I installed it and I get an expected behavior: I can reach "that wordpress" directly asking http://192.168.X.Y/wordpress, without any login first in my DNS, nor "launching it by clicking a button before"

Thanks for support

The OP has not been back since hey posted 3 years ago so not sure if this problem was fixed or not.

This maybe how it's designed yet could offer better operation and handling I presume.

Only other thing you could try is v1.10 however I presume it may not change anything. Something you can phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask about.

Good Morning FurryNutz,

Thanks anyway  :)
I would want leave constantcy that if you put http://192.168.1.10/surveillancestation/index.html, exactly that, then it responses the request. It appears what it was expected to appear: the main page of "Live Video panel", but in background since fastly appears "User timeout. Please login again" and redirects you to main login window of DNS-320L, and again, comming back to the same process...1) login, 2) aplication, 3) launch aplication.. :-\

Regards
