Hi

When I login to my router and did a check on update, it show me the above new firmware.

I cannot find any release notes on the above on what it fixes, etc?

If there difference version of firmware for DIR-868L sold in difference regions or they are all the same?

I've noticed the same thing.  My router reports that v1.09 has been available for over a week now:

Latest Firmware Version:v1.09
Latest Firmware Date:2014-11-06

Yet when I go to the DLINK page, there's no mention of this new version yet.

I'm in the US, with hardware version A01 and current firmware v1.08.

I'll contact D-Link about this and see what is going on. Please avoid upgrading for now until I find out some info. v1.08 is a good version and works well.

Ok, so good news. V1.09 is ready for upgrading for users outside of the NA region, so EU, AU, ME and AS can upgrade if they so choose to do so.

For Canada and NA, please wait as the official FW version is being finalized and will be posted to the the NA web site soon.

I'll be posting notification sticky when it gets posted here in the NA region.

Please follow the FW Update Process. For users using the auto update feature on the router, I would do a factory reset using IE or FF while you are wired LAN cable PC connected to the router with all other devices turned OFF, skip the setup wizard, go into the check for FW updates then let it apply the new version. Once it's applied and comes to ready, do one more factory reset and set up from scratch.
