External USB drive not recognized
« on: November 24, 2014, 12:07:44 AM »

I have plug in WD My Book Essential 3TB to the USB port but not recognized. The external USB drive is formatted in NTFS.

So, does DNS support USB formatted in EX4? Or they do support NTFS and there are other problems at my end.

Thanks.

Hi Jeffmy, I plugged a WD My Book (1TB) with a NTFS file system to the USB port and it is recognized and I can access it through the web browser or the folder sharing.
So, it seems that NTFS is supported, although I have other problems to access some files (which I'm going to investigate right now).

In addition, the manual says:
File System
• EXT4 for internal HDD
• FAT32, NTFS for USB external storage
