VOIP Disconnects VPN
« on: June 25, 2009, 07:12:58 AM »

3.08 FW

When VOIP comes in or dial out, the laptop on a DWA-642 wireless drops the VPN connection.  Ideas?

Thats usually caused by poor wireless signal. Are you running it in N mode.

Yes - N only, auto, using the Dlink manager on a Dell 610 with onboard card disabled (not loading the onboard at startup in msconfig).

That did not help, so I disabled the onboard in device hardware.  Still drops the VPN when VOIP chimes in/out.

DLink manager shows connection at 300 Mbps, excellent 100% signal from the router which is 20 feet away.

Try locking it to G and see if the problem continues.

Locked to G.  Still drops it.

Works fine hardwired.
