Hi,
I apologize if this has already been asked but I couldn't find an answer after searching the posts. I own a DIR-655 router and love it. Several years ago I purchased a Motorola SB6120 Docsis 3.0 modem for my Comcast service. When my rate went up so I changed my service. I got a Docsis 2.0 eMTA modem and was happy with 24Mbps but when my rate increased again, I changed plans again. Now I am on a 105Mbps plan and plugged in my old SB6120, registered it with Comcast, and it works. I plugged in my DIR-655 again and it worked too!
Now I have a problem and can't figure out how to solve it. I plugged a desktop into the back of the DIR-655 with a LAN cord and my speed is 112-115Mbps which is awesome! However my notebook (Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205) gets only 58Mbps speed, my iPhone 5C gets only 29Mbps, my iPhone 4S gets only 25Mbps, and my PS3 gets only 37Mbps (wired into DIR655).
I nothing about networking but I find it strange that all my devices can't reach their potential. All have the capability of 300Mbps but since my service is 105Mbps I expect all to be running at close to 100Mbps.
Are there DIR-655 settings I can change to reach maximum speeds with all my devices? Thanks for the help!
Kevin
