there may be another place for this and if there is would someone please point the way, but i have no clue how to get where i can monitor activity and set up certain usage limitations i need to for members of my household. first time with a dlink with the recommendations of a office depot associate and i think we will like it just as i learn how to maneuver through the controls  thanks in advance because I KNOW there are many here that know more than i do about these things  lol

ok looking at things, when i try to log into my router i'm not sure I've ever logged in before  have no idea what I've done or haven't done but have no idea what my log in information is   sounds like going back to the drawing board

There are Access Control under Advanced that can be set up along with scheduling that you can set up for specific devices. Scheduling should be set up first then go in an set up Access Control policies and select which feature you want to do. Some of the features are limited and may not support what your looking for...

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.

thanks a lot FurryNutz you are fast ha ha  i will go further with this when i'm back at the router, but im having problems connecting to the router's homepage am i doing something wrong? told you that i'm lost dealing with these things

PC 3rd Party Security Software Configurations

• Turn off all anti virus and firewall programs on PC while testing. 3rd party firewalls are not generally needed when using routers as they are effective on blocking malicious inbound traffic.

PC Web Browser Configurations
What browser are you using?
Try Opera or FF? If IE 8, 9, 10 or 11, set compatibility mode and test again.
Disable any security browser Add-ons like No Script and Ad-Block or configure them to allow All Pages when connected to the router.
Clear all browser caches.
Be sure to log into the Admin account on the router.
Try turning off these features in Chrome:
Top right corner, little bars for options > Settings > Settings (on left) > Show advanced settings.
Uncheck these:
Use a web service to help resolve navigation errors
Use a prediction service to help complete searches and URLs typed in the address bar
Predict network actions to improve page load performance
Enable phishing and malware protection

Internet Service Provider and Modem Configurations

• What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
• What ISP Modem Mfr. and model # do you have?
