DNS 320l and Mac Folder Viewing Issue
« on: January 25, 2015, 12:15:49 PM »

Hello!

A little info to start with - I am running on Mac OS X Yosemite, the device has 2x 1TB with RAID1.

I recently ordered a 320l and I'm sure you can imagine my delight today when it turned up on the door! I eagerly scurried back inside and set it up as per the setup wizard. Now, my trouble starts here...

My Dell Tablet and Sony Bravia Smart TV both see the default/public/guest (whatever the best word is) folders of Music/Video/Photos. However, my Mac takes me straight to Volume_1 and I cannot seem to find a way of accessing or viewing these in the Finder. I have tried to connect to the NAS on the IP 192.169.0.32 as well as entering 192.168.0.32/Video in a vain attempt to access. I have tried logging in to the drive and being a guest, yet no luck.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to access these on a Mac via Finder? I have enabled AFP, NFS and UPnP. The Mac and 320l don't seem to have a problem exchanging files, so I don't think it would be to do with those.

The reason why it is important to me, is I believe it would be easier to store my content in the default folders and have all other devices able to access it, rather than change all of them (if that's even possible on the TV?) to be able to see Volume_1.

I am open to any advice, and can follow instructions for technical advice quite well.

Thank you!
