After spending 9.5 hours straight trying to sort this problem I need some other opinions. This might get boring to read but I've tried virtually everything.

The DSL-320B Is connected to the net and works fine and has the latest firmware update.

The DIR-855 has got the latest firmware update and connects to the DSL-320B fine. A hardwired PC will connect to the net and works 100%. Also the shareport is working, and also the wi-fi is all nice and set up and connects with the lappy 100%. All the mac filtering etc is turned off and the security is WPA2.

I have managed to get the DAP-1522 to connect in bridge mode to the DIR-855 using the dynamic ip setup. It works fine when I hardwire the lappy to it and turn off the wi-fi on the lappy. I get the tinterweb fine and I can print to the shareport. The whole set up seems to work mint. Even after several reboots to see if it will fall over. This too has the latest firmware update.

Now here's the part where I tear my hair out. I have deployed the DAP-1522 and it is to connect a BDP-LX91 Pioneer Blue ray DVD player to the web to get special BDVD features. When deployed the BDP-LX91 picks up an IP address from the DHCP. All the network connection test on it run fine. It still won't see the net. It errors when looking for an update or getting BDVD info, yet the said lappy plugged into it at the same time picks up the net when wi-fi is off.

The BDP-LX91 works fine when connected to a different router hardwired, so the  BDP-LX91 works fine, except when connected to the DAP-1522.  All suggestions welcome except to bin it and get something else!!!

look for your log file on router that a port is not passing properly, if no log file shows port use see if you can change what the log file saves once you determine which port it is open access.

If not try firmware, at pioneer's web site firmware version 2.46 with the following

at this link http://www.pioneer.eu/eur/content/support/support/upgrade/BDP.html

Enhance your entertainment experience now.
Upgrade your BDP-LX91 Blu-ray Disc player and activate BD-Live to take full advantage of the interactive features of your Blu-ray Discs.

BD-Live combines content on your Blu-ray Discs with downloadable content from the internet and online connectivity with other movie fans. This means you'll be able to download images and bonus trailers, join in live chat sessions, play online games and much more, depending on the film studio's offering.

Great news if you're on the lookout for a new receiver: your upgraded BDP-LX91 will decode DTS-HD Audio to Linear PCM (LPCM) which will greatly expand your choice of receivers. And even if you don't have the latest HD audio receiver, you'll now be able to enjoy the highest quality audio.

Additionally, the upgrade will allow you to select the crossover frequency, enabling you to gain more control over your speakers. .
Download the firmware (version 2.46, size: 97 MB)
Last updated: 20 April 2009

Download the update instructions
Download the change history
How to use the new features in version 2.46 (DTS-HD support, Crossover Frequency and BD-LIVE)

Hope this helps
