DNS-320L - No 1000 MBIT on my DLINK?
« on: February 10, 2015, 09:12:01 AM »

Hello Guys,

i have some problems with my new NAS Storage DNS 320LW.
The DNS 320LW can 1000 mbit right ?
when i go in the WEBUI to the network management > Lan Setup > and than Link Speed Settings i can only choose
1.Auto
2.100

the possibility to choose 1000 is not there, and i dont know why.

i have to tried to Upgrade and Downgrade the firmware but no success.
My Switch is a Gigabit Switch.
Firmware 1.04.b12

When i copy a file from my local disk to the Storage is the Maximum Speed 10 MB/s.

Thanks for help,
Florian

What Mfr and Model# is the switch?

Have you connected a PC directly to the DNS and check the LAN port speed?
Check cable between DNS, PC and swtich, swap out to be sure. Link> Cat6 is recommended.

There is no 1000 Mbps direct mode. It can be choose only by autosensing - and if your switch can use this speed, 1000 Mbps link will be establish. There is no separate mode for 1000 because choosing it without  proper switch or eth card will means the unusable NAS device.

Earlier ShareCenter versions had a 100 and 1000 option regardless of switch capacity. The newer generation ShareCenter models are more intelligent and hide capacity options that aren't available.
