Is the DNS 323 or the DNS 343 DLNA compatible?

I believe not. 

DLNA is a cert for a specific subset of uPNP protocols.  Dlink is not list at all on their companies list.

will it work with a DLNA device... possibly.  ( Playstation 3 can and it is a DLNA device.)

i have a samsung plasma tv, i can confirm that dlna work when i connect my tv on my network, it automaticly finds the d-link dns-323 and i can play movies almost any format

I also have a Samsung TV (LN52B750) and it can recognize my DNS-323 as a DLNA device, BUT it cannot seem to access the files in order to play.  I'm still trying to think of ways to tweak, but at this point, I am not successful.  The user interface on the TV to access files (for this particular TV) is not very intuitive.

I would be interested in seeing if firmware 1.08 beta "fixes" this for you.  It has a much improved implementation of UPnP.  I've got a 650 series TV and sometimes I wish I had the 750.  :)  Good luck with it!
